Every Christian must contend to keep Christ’s concerns at the forefront. We are too easily distracted, or as C. S. Lewis put it:

It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.

It’s my hope that this blog will be a place of recalibration, of pointing out blind spots that we take for granted and even embrace. I want this to be a place for conversations about what matters to God and what matters to us. I hope you’ll meet me here.
